When Maison BeauSoleil made the commitment to become socially and economically responsible, they also committed to take responsibility towards the environment. Recognizing the importance of the coastal ecosystem’s health on the quality of its product, the company and its Acadian producers work as much as possible in harmony with the environment.
Thus, the intervention of Maison BeauSoleil’s technique is to simply place oysters in ideal growing conditions - in an environment where the current is constant giving them a better food supply. The idea is to let nature take its course without human intervention. With this technique, we are actively working to implement a code of practice for the Professional Shellfish Growers Association of New Brunswick.
That is why every culture area needs to be approved by the Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture and Fisheries of the Province of New Brunswick and is assigned so that the selected area and activities have the least possible impact on the environment.
